An important rule in the game rules requires ingredients of matching rarity for the relevant recipes. Free bag slots are needed too.

Double-check the type, quantity and rarity of every ingredient before crafting.
Select another player, propose a trade, add the desired items or currency and inspect the deal. Both players must confirm. If either player changes the offer, previous confirmations must no longer count.

NPC merchants mainly trade using gold. The official shop offers purchases involving crystals or payments depending on the product. Leaderboard points and XP are not shop currencies.
